Back to School is the 17th episode of Season 2 of Talking Tom and Friends.

Talking Ginger gets one of Talking Ben's inventions confiscated by his teacher, so Talking Tom and Talking Angela head to the school to get it back. But their plan gets complicated when Tom learns that Ginger's is taught by Velma Vanthrax, the scariest teacher that the town has ever seen. Now Tom's attempt to help his friend might land him in detention.
Plot[]
Ben turns the garage upside down because he lost his new invention, the Miracle Slurper. He's worried because he was supposed to submit the invention for an award. The invention would suck in water and purify it from up to 30 feet. Tom then realizes that he accidentally gave it to Ginger. Then, Ginger gets back from school and says that the invention was confiscated because Ginger used it to shoot spitballs. Ben is furious and leaps on Tom.
Tom explains that he was building a tower out of french toast, and Ginger asked to take it to school. Tom accepted, not knowing that Ginger was actually referring to the invention. Now, Tom says he could get Ginger's parents to pick it up, but sadly they were on vacation. So, Tom and Angela disguise themselves, pretending to be Ginger's parents and go to the school.
Tom opens the classroom door to find the teacher that confiscated the invention is Velma Vanthrax. Tom is horrified because she was also Tom's teacher when he was a kid. Angela brushes it off, telling Tom he's a grown man and he should just do it. They enter the door, meet Ms. Vanthrax, get the invention, and try to go, but Vanthrax recognizes Tom and rips off his fake mustache. Vanthrax presses a button that bars the windows and doors, and activates a magnetic pole that attracts their cell phones. Vanthrax puts Tom, Angela and Ginger in detention.
Tom is in his desk when he formulates an escape plan. He tries to carry it out, but the desk is too small for him, and he gets stuck and crashes to the ground. So, Vanthrax gives Tom double detention. Fortunately, Angela knows the school rules, one of which states that students in detention can make one phone call to their parent of guardian. Angela calls Hank, and she calls him Mom. Ben snatches the phone from Hank, and asks Angela what she is doing. Angela speaks in code in order to make sure Miss Vanthrax doesn't know what she is talking about and to let Ben know that she is in detention. When Bongo and McGillicuddy break out of jail in the episode that Hank is watching on the TV, Ben sees it too, and gets the idea to rescue his friends.
Ben and Hank sneak into the school and make it to the ceiling vents. Ben leans on the vent grating over Vanthrax's classroom, but it caves in and Ben falls into the classroom. Vanthrax threatens Ben, but realizes that it was her favorite student - Ben. He tells Vanthrax that he needs the invention and to release Angela and Ginger, which Vanthrax agrees to. He explains his invention and walks out the door. However, Ben doesn't let Tom go, since Tom is the one who gave Ginger his invention. Tom, still stuck in the desk, is left alone in detention.
